Our zodiac cruised silently in the icy waters of Cierva Cove, Antarctica. As we passed by this majestic ice sculpture, we were offered a window to eternity - a fleeting view of the serene mountains hidden from view. Although the cool blues in this scene reflect the harshness of the Antarctic environment, I felt that a monochrome palette emphasized the unique and unusual shapes carved by the elements.
