TITLE: Distilling Whisky in Stormy Times
In the end of January this year, I was planning to go to China for a semester abroad. Things changed quickly and the whole plan changed. I had some time off while the studies were halted for a month. This enabled me to pack my bags and go to Scotland. The country everyone knows and loves for the whisky. And that's why my friend and I went there - but Scotland has so much more to offer! This is one example of a ship I encountered on the way towards the east coast island of Islay. This was certainly my best trip ever, even though it was cold and we ran into the worst storm the UK has hit in quite a while. I will come back one day. For now, I keep studying in Germany for another semester and now do so from home.

I am a 21-year-old hobby photographer who started photography around the age of 12, where I bought my first digital camera. My Nikon has not let me down for 8 years and provided me with a great platform to grow as a photographer. This paired with the frequent read in magazines to increase my creativity and eye for framing lead to quite a number of good pictures already. I do photography only for fun and take lots of pictures especially when traveling. This combines my two most favorite things.
