TITLE: A Saturday morning on the Champs Elysées
The weekly demonstrations of the “yellow vestes” in Paris afford some unusual sights of the “Arc de Triomphe”. The tear gas being used to dispel crowds, on this drizzly Saturday morning, helps to visually isolate individuals from the crowd. Taken on 1 December with a Leica M10-P and a 90mm at 1/250 sec and f/5.6, then converted to black & white using Lightroom for IPad.
AUTHOR: Sebastian Schich (France)
Born in Berlin before the fall of the wall, he has exposed his works in Berlin, São Paulo and Paris. Having received in São Paulo a Leica IIIf dating from 1950, with some minor fungus issues, he uses the camera to capture interactions between architecture and people in the heart of that city. Otherwise, he uses a digital Leica M.
