TITLE: Other Direction
There is a time when we need to take an unexpected direction.
AUTHOR: elide cataldo (Italy)
I have loved photography since my teens, the first camera I used was my parents' Rolleiflex. I've tried so many roads but I've always returned to photography. Taking pictures puts me at peace with myself and the world. For me it has always been a therapy. After graduating in photography at the ISFAV of Padua, I graduated in Arts from the Ca ’Foscari University of Venice. I attended courses and internships with internationally known masters and I was never satisfied with photography. I had set up the dark room in my room and there I spent whole nights developing and printing black and white.
I worked as a photojournalist for local newspapers, Il Gazzettino and Il Resto del Carlino and I followed the photographic and advertising communication for companies in various sectors, later I preferred to dedicate myself mainly to portrait photography.
Recently, after an annual Master in Therapeutic Photography, I conduct workshops in which I use Photography as a tool for a deeper knowledge of oneself and the world.
