TITLE: "Woman with peacock feather"

Netherlands. The woman had a cautious appearance. To express this in a photograph, I asked her to hold a peacock feather very carefully in her marble hands.

I studied classical music and photography. As a photographer I partly work in commission,
partly as a free documentary photographer in Europe and Asia.
My focus is on portrait and travel.

The two entrees concern portrait/people photography. They are part of the series 'Informal Portraits':
the series consists of portraits of people from different cultures or with different backgrounds.
But what connects them all (the similarity), is their striving for a kind of dignity.
‘Informal’ because each photograph arose from an unplanned, unique situation.
