TITLE: From Tajikistan to Afghanistan
This series contains photos of my last trip from Tajikistan to Afghanistan. All of them are shot on a Leica M4 on Ilford Delta 400 film, developed in DD-X. Because lack of electricity in parts of Afghanistan, I always feel independent when shooting film on a fully mechanial camera. Just on the first hike, I lost the light meter (falling out of my bag) and had to guess all the mesurement of speed and aperture but it all came out nicely. When travelling to these regions, you will always be welcomed warmly by the people and you will see the rough conditions and countryside. Due to my basic persian language skills I could also keep in touch with the locals in both countries and shoot also portraits and talk with them about this and that. Because it was the first time, I did not went sick during a trip in this region I was really happy afterwards.
