TITLE: untitled
Utilizing the tropes of a bygone era, these photos were taken moments after the Chicago Cubs won the World Series in 2016, and during the night of the election of the same year. In the first moment, a society effervesces over the totemic principle of human transition; the status in which man, if only in a fleeting instance, has the ability to become something beyond the self. In American culture, this emanates heavily within the world of its athleticism. The defiance of limitation resides within the human ideology and all its microcosms.
Additionally, this first moment may be seen to mark a secondary transition; the disruption of the long held stability of the American narrative, and the mutation of the countries simulacrum, following the election of 11/8/16.
