TITLE: The Arctic Storm
Fascinated by the power of nature, iceland has always been a place I was dreaming about. In october 2017 finally, my dream came true and I was able to travel there together with a good friend of mine. Deeply touched by its incredible beauty, diversity and huge vastness of the landscape, I immediately fell in love with this country. There aren't enough words to describe this fascination, only images may be an attempt to highlight all that beauty. At the fifth day of our journey the sky darkened, the wind intensified; an arctic storm was coming up. Coincidence or destiny, the following hours and extremely intense and evocative experiences will always remain in my memory. All this raw power and ferocity of an arctic storm, demonstrated nature's greatness and strength. I feel humbled having experienced such moments.
”White crested waves crash on the shore. The masts sway violently, every which way. In the gray sky the gulls are circling like white flakes. Rain squalls blow past like gray slanting sails, and blue gaps open in the sky. The air brightens. A cold silvery evening. The moon is overhead, and down below, in the water; and all around it a wide frame of old, hammered, scaly silver.”
